China is rapidly heading towards becoming the world’s dominant economy, and its vastly superior handling of Covid-19 compared to the US has only accelerated things.

English and US culture and technology permeates our lives because the US dominates the world economically. That dominant force will soon be China. Its GDP could be greater than the US’s by the end of the decade, after that China will accelerate ahead fast and it will lead the world in science, education, technology etc… like the US does today.

And so you simply can’t just not react to the biggest global economic shift in history.

Now, if you’re young — you’re young if you feel young — at the very least you really need to be learning Mandarin. I mean, English is a huge advantage for someone in China, right? Mandarin will increasingly be that advantage where you are.

If you’re not young any more, think about migrating to a part of Asia where you can speak the local language — that means Singapore, Malaysia, Philippines, or possibly India. Asia as a whole, thanks to the rise of China, is booming, and it has just got going. The 21st century will belong to Asia as the 20th did to the US.

And, finally, if you’re old, do nothing, except pass this message to your kids .
